I am a fully qualified, techniques certified practitioner of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy. This means that I have completed an extensive training with the Upledger Institute and passed written and practical exams. (Many people who practise CranioSacral Therapy do so as an add-on to massage and are not fully qualified CranioSacral Therapists.) I am a member of the CranioSacral Society, which is my governing body. I regularly complete Continuous Professional Development. Therefore, you can be confident that you will be treated professionally, supportively and with respect.
I chose to study CranioSacral Therapy and become a practitioner because of the profoundly healing and indeed life-changing effects that it had on me when I first went for a treatment a number of years ago. I confess that I had never heard of CranioSacral Therapy before this and was rather sceptical. But I was desperate, having tried the conventional avenues with no success.
I have heard many similar stories. The effects of CranioSacral Therapy are hard to quantify because it aids healing on different levels in parallel: physical, psychological and, in some people’s experience, spiritual. Sometimes, healing is slow and gradual, depending on the speed at which the body needs to process. At other times, it can be surprisingly rapid.

And indeed, this was the case for me when I first went for treatment. It touched me on so many levels, and so deeply, I was astonished. What IS this?! I simply had to find out.
And so began my exciting journey of study with the Upledger Institute UK. I began with a fascinating in-depth anatomy, physiology and pathology course at the College of Body Science, and went on to learn the full range of techniques used in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy.

I came to CranioSacral Therapy initially as a desperate client in a lot of pain. From this, I learned that pain and illness can sometimes be the body’s way of leading us to seek the help we need in order to heal on levels that may go far beyond the physical symptoms.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in many years of body awareness and meditation practices, including yoga, 5Rhythms conscious dance and Authentic Movement, and I bring the deep and healing conscious focus that I have learned from these to my craniosacral work.
I spend a lot of my leisure time in nature, in my garden and with my cat Arthur, or playing music with friends.
